Trans African Concessions (TRAC), the company managing the N4 toll route between Gauteng and Mozambique, is currently busy with extensive upgrades of this route. Major construction and rehabilitation work is now being done in certain sections to provide a much improved road and even better traffic accommodation into the future.

Travellers may be inconvenienced while work is in progress. In an effort to help road users, TRAC operates a 24-hour help desk where you can get up-to-date traffic and route information or emergency help. Alternatively, follow TRAC on Twitter: @TRACN4route. Members of TRAC’s Twitter community get real time route information first-hand which allows them to plan their trips, arrival and departure times (this information service comes highly recommended by the onRoute team).

“We appeal to road users to bear with us during the construction phase. Roads require on-going investment to continue adding value to road users. Well-managed road infrastructure supports economic growth,” explains TRAC’s spokesperson, Anita Heyl.
