400g plain flour

This fun and easy recipe takes 20 minutes to prepare and 10 minutes to cook!

250g icing sugar

Assorted food colourings

A variety of fun sprinkling sweets like hundreds and thousands, smarties, jelly beans etc.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

Place the butter in a large mixing bowl with caster sugar. Use a wooden spoon to beat until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in the egg until well mixed then gradually add the flour.

Use your hands to bring the mixture together to a stiff dough. Gather into a ball and chill for 30 minutes. Heat the oven to 180°C.

Roll out the dough on a work surface lightly dusted with flour. Use an oval cutter to cut out egg-shaped biscuits. Place on baking tray and bake for 6-10 minutes until golden brown.

To decorate, make up the icing (as directed on the packet). Divide between 3-4 bowls adding a different food colouring to each bowl. Decorate using icing and sprinkling sweets to make each biscuit look unique.
