Wrestle-Mania is one of the most watched shows on public television in South Africa. Spoilsports will argue that WWE is nothing but a bunch of actors flinging themselves around a ring, but that’s not why we watch. It is entertainment; it puts on a show – there are plots, episodes, rivalries and character development that would make a soapy writer proud.
In the latest installment of this very successful gaming franchise, you once again immerse yourself in the exciting world of wrestling. You can either chose one of the already famous personalities and take them on a journey to world wrestling domination, or you can create your own superstars and travel with them through the world of intrigue, in and outside of the ring.

The gameplay itself is not a perfect sim of real-world fighting. There are some logic-defying moves to try and plenty of signature stunts to learn, but we didn’t find the fighting element to be the best part of the game, it was the journey that hooked us. WWE is celebrating 30 years of Wrestle-Mania, their biggest showpiece, and the game is a celebration of the sport.
From a gameplay perspective, it is just above average, but from an entertainment perspective, this game is fun.
