Festivals and celebrations are underway around South Africa!

Free State

The ten-day festival held in Bloemfontein, showcases the cream of African and international talent, featuring jazz, gospel, kwaito, hip-hop, R&B, rock and classical music, as well as dance, drama, cabaret, musical theatre, poetry, fine art and traditional arts and crafts. First held in 1997 before an audience of 30 000, Macufe now attracts over 140 000 people from South Africa, Africa and the world. 

Vaal Mudfest

6 – 8 November


Prepare the whole family for a fun-filled weekend! Vaal Mudfest features more than 20 obstacles to challenge all the 4x4 fanatics, fishing and potjiekos competitions, a beer tent stocked with some of the finest cold brews and a kid’s play area to keep the little ones busy. And, to set the vibe alive, a live entertainment area will showcase the talents of top artists. Come for the day, or bring your tents and camping gear and stay for the weekend. 

Photo & Film Expo

Africa’s leading photographic event has matured into a fixed highlight for anybody interested in photography, or even the latest technology advancements as far as imaging, printing and associated industries go. With more exhibitors in attendance than ever before this year’s expo is bound to be a showstopper. Take part in the many free workshops and check out the latest range of new products to be seen in Africa. Plus, with the widest range of gear from the obvious cameras and lenses right through to cellphones, safari trips, courses, bags, tripods, lighting and many of the most unique accessories not available in stores - this expo is one that is not to be missed.
