This very special community farmers' market is located on the outskirts of the tiny coastal town of Sedgefield. Small and rustic but internationally famous, the Wild Oats Community Farmers’ Market attracts the enthusiastic attention of proud locals and discerning travellers. Visit on any Saturday throughout the year (come rain or shine) and get an authentic taste of the Garden Route with more than 60 stalls of the finest local farm produce, including free-range meats, chicken, lamb, dairy, and cheese. The market also specializes in fresh-from-the-field veg, freshly baked and bottled goods, locally roasted Arabica coffee beans as well as a wide variety of homebakes, plants, and flowers. Delicious outdoor breakfast and live music can be enjoyed at long communal timber tables with wood log stools.
With multiple awards under its belt, Wild Oats continues to be the first and only dedicated farmers’ market with local Garden Route vendors who are food producers, not resellers!
So much more than just a food market, it’s a place to come and enjoy an old-fashioned country setting alongside community-minded, environmentally conscious food lovers.
